With the arrival of the era of 3G mobile communications, people need not only to meet the call, SMS service, and begin to pursue more realistic visual and interactive experience. The paper developed the virtual campus roaming system of the Wuhan University of Technology for the Android platform based on the Baidu map of the mobile version of the API (Android) and OpenGL ES development tools. Users may select the Campus location of Wuhan University of Technology in the Android mobile phone and can query the campus road, the corresponding function architecture position and 3D virtual scene graph; at the same time they can accept the new information campus. The system of design cannot only provide users with a conventional mobile map services, but also show their location of the 3D scene graph. It is more intuitive to display location information, enhance the campus scenery and culture readability.

This paper carries out a large-scale sample survey of university students’ online learning, analyzes the problems of cognitive preference and cognitive evaluation, and puts forward corresponding solutions from the education management department, teachers and students based on a cognitive system.

However, the research of the second generation of cognitive science shows that cognition is a complex dynamic system process including all elements, which is ignored and can not be fully completed by network teaching. Active contours, known as snakes, have been widely used for medical images. In this paper a new algorithm for 3D segmentation is proposed based on the snake technique, which can include both gradient and textural features as image forces and a new external force to improve the sensitivity of a normal snake against image noise. After the contour has been well defined on one slice of volume data by a 2D segmentation method, the contours of the subsequent slices can be obtained through our modified snake method. Experiments on medical MRI volume images have proved the validity of the algorithm.

A new algorithm for direct 3D segmentation is presented. The algorithm combines region growing, edge detection and a new edge preserving smoothing method. The combined method helps to avoid characteristic segmentation errors which occur when using region growing or edge detection separately. Boundary modification is also introduced to overcome noise in the boundary location and ensure more realistic region boundaries. The algorithm has been validated through application to medical image visualisation.
